Topper Company Competition Teams

UnArmed DRILL

The members of the unarmed drill team practice routines and drill cards that are based solely on military-style drill formations and commands. This team uses its advanced drill skills to compete at drill competitions and other events. This team's purpose is to build teamwork, accuracy, and perfect precision, these skills are used to create exceptional performance routines.

Armed DRILL

The members of the armed drill learn and practice drill card routines, except they use drill rifles that are found in the drill armory locker. This team uses their advanced armed drill skills to compete in armed drill competitions and in some cases substitute for the left and right rifle on the color guard team. This team's purpose is to build teamwork, hand-eye coordination, and uniformity through learning the routines.

Physical Training (PT)

The members of the PT team are disciplined and dedicated cadets who participate in rigorous physical exercises and activities to promote physical fitness and teamwork. They showcase their skills at competitions and other events, demonstrating their commitment to excellence and the military tradition of physical training.

Female PT Commander: C/CDR Maya Snowden and C/MCPO Isabella Pearson

COlor guard

The members of the Color Guard Team practice drill and ceremonies with flags and rifles while wearing proper uniforms and showing respect to the national flag. They present the colors at competitions and football games using specific commands and formations. The female and mixed teams use teamwork to master their routines for color guard competitions and events.

Marksmanship

The members of the Marksmanship Team practice accuracy and precision by learning to use air rifles that are stored in the range armory. For this team there are two teams, these teams are the original marksmanship team and the precision team for more advanced cadets. This team specifically focuses on hand-eye coordination, accuracy, precision, and team bonding.

ACademic

Academic

The members of the academic team compete in tests to challenge their JROTC knowledge and other miscellaneous questions. This team practices by using Kahoot quizzes to study for their academic competitions and postals. This team's purpose is to provide team bonding, repetitive knowledge, and the ability to be able to recall information.
