What is NJROTC?
NJROTC is a program that is designed to help high school students develop leadership skills, explore career opportunities in the military, and make a positive impact in their communities. They also have the opportunity to take part in community service projects and other activities that help them develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility.

Students work together with their peers and instructors to achieve common goals and develop their skills, and they form strong bonds that can last a lifetime. More Info
This program offers a wide range of opportunities for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the military or other related fields. The program emphasizes leadership development, physical fitness, and academic excellence. Cadets participate in a variety of activities, including drill competitions, marksmanship training, community service projects, and many more.
One of the unique aspects of the NJROTC program is that it is not a recruiting program for the military. While some cadets may choose to enlist in the military after graduating from high school, the program is designed to benefit all students, regardless of their future career aspirations.
Participation opens up a world of opportunities for cadets. Many colleges and universities offer scholarships specifically for NJROTC cadets, as they recognize the leadership and discipline skills that cadets develop through their participation in the program. Additionally, the NJROTC program provides opportunities for cadets to attend summer leadership academies, which can further enhance their leadership and personal development.
The program's purpose is to prepare students for leadership positions while making students aware of how the real world works. Students participating in this program will learn about the military, history, life skills, and staying healthy through physical fitness exercises. This program brings out the best in all students by giving them opportunities and benefits not typically found in other courses. The program provides leadership opportunities at every turn, while also giving students unique field trip experiences, for example visiting the National Laboratory stationed in our community. The benefits of this program are astounding as students learn to lead others, overcome challenges, collaborate with others, grow a sense of comradery, and grow as individuals. Students can also use the program as a chance to learn about different careers in the military, along with JROTC-specific scholarships and other opportunities. Lastly, depending on the number of years a student has completed in a JROTC program if they want a path in the military they offer incentives and advancements for students with JROTC years of experience.
